The Kerala Story Wasn’t Planned Says Siddhi Idnani

Mumbai, 24th June 2023 (Newshelpline) - Actress Siddhi Idnani, who played the role of Geetanjali Menon in The Kerala Story, says she didn’t plan the impact the movie might have on people, but just wanted to be part of a good cause.

Siddhi Idnani was interacting with Newshelpline during her recent visit to Little Angels School, and spending time with specially abled kids.

Talking about the success of The Kerala Story and her next project, Siddhi said, “When I did The Kerala Story, like I said before it’s not a typical commercial film, at the core of it, there was a good cause, that if we are able to help just one girl, it will a win-win for us, and that cause has turned into such a huge thing. So, I didn’t plan it, I only decided to be part of this film, because it had a good purpose, and I made a good decision. I don’t believe in planning. I have faith in the almighty, and I believe only good things will happen.”

Talking about her visit to the school and spending quality time with kids, Siddhi said, “I think it is a humane thing to do, we all are given blessings in abundance, and what we do with those blessings is very important, what we do with our time is important. And doing good, giving back to society, will bring even more blessings, ten folds more.”

During her interaction with kids, Siddhi started crying, addressing her emotional outburst, she said, “It was a feeling of gratitude, more than anything else. Somewhere we take our blessings for granted, and witnessing the struggle, see everyone struggles in a different way, what we may think is the mountain top struggle, might be minuscule for somebody else, the realization of this hit me hard, there is so much in this world, which we haven’t seen and we must see it, and help out where we can, that just made me emotional.”

Helmed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. It also stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, and Sonia Balani, the film has minted a whopping 300 crore plus at the box-office.
