Sunny Deol Celebrates 33 Years Of Ghayal

Mumbai, 22nd June 2023 (Newshelpline) – Action superstar Sunny Deol celebrates 33 years of his debut production, Ghayal, which fetched him a National Film Award – Special Jury Award and Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

Released in 1990, Ghayal was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi (in his directorial debut), the film also starred Meenakshi Seshadri, Raj Babbar and Amrish Puri, with Moushumi Chatterjee, Annu Kapoor, Om Puri, Sharat Saxena and Sudesh Berry playing supporting roles

Sharing a video post on his social media, Sunny Deol captioned his post, “A film that made me Producer because Nobody else wanted to make it. Celebrating #33YearsOfGhayal, a film that eventually won everyone’s heart”

It is believed that Sunny approached many for the film but advised to not make this film as it won't work. But Dharmendra saw the potential in the film and ended at becoming producer.

Meanwhile, Sunny is currently busy promoting his film Gadar 2, a period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with the story written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The film also stars Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma and Aamir Naik in the lead roles.

It is scheduled to be released on 11 August 2023.
