Grateful To Vikram Bhatt For Dragging Me Out Of Shaky Phase Says Mimoh Chakraborty

Mumbai, 14th June 2023 (Newshelpline) - Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh Chakraborty clocks 15 years since his debut movie Jimmy and shares his gratitude towards Vikram Bhatt for dragging him out of depression and desolation.

Mimoh made his debut with Jimmy in 2008, though the film tanked badly at the box-office, but it has lasting effects on the actor. Sharing about his experience, he said, “I was on shaky grounds when Jimmy tanked, I was insecure and didn’t know what to do, coming from Ooty, I was in my own bubble, and when it busted, I was left vulnerable. I was even insecure and nervous doing Haunted 3D.”

“I am forever grateful to Vikram Bhatt for showing faith in me, we even had a talk on sets, and Vikram told me, I know you’re nervous and scared, and probably thinking I made a mistake by hiring you, and trust me, people had advised me, not to hire you, but I have faith in you, I trust your talent. Vikram Bhatt saying that to me, sort of gave me hope” added Mimoh.

Post Jimmy, there was wild articles talking about Mimoh’s bout of depression and for the first time, actor address the issue about mental health.

He said, “Talking about depression is not a good thing, that is the stigma and I wish to reach out to everyone through this interview, talking about my feelings or depression doesn’t make me weak, we all go through some bouts of depression, our levels might be different. Addressing it, coping with it and being able to snap out of it, is the real story.”

Mimoh was last sene in sleeper hit Jogira Sa Ra Ra, with Neha Sharma and Nawazuddin Siddiui.

When asked about his upcoming projects, Mimoh said, “Getting the signing amount after putting your signature on the contract with the director or producer, that is best feeling, but more often than I would like to admit, just before the movie was supposed to go on floors, I was asked not be part of the film. I’d gotten used to it. This is the reason I don’t want to talk about my upcoming projects, until or unless the film has gone on the floors, I don’t talk about it.”
