A Role Is A Role Says Kajol On Making OTT Debut
Mumbai, 12th June 2023 (Newshelpline) - After ruling silver-screen for the longest, Kajol, who is making her OTT series debut with The Trail, says regardless of format, a role is a role, which requires the same amount of hard-work.
Kajol along with Ajay Devgn and the entire ensemble was interacting with Newshelpline at the trailer launch of series, The Trail - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha, an Indian adaptation of The Wife.
When asked about difficulties in migrating from silver-screen to OTT, actress Kajol said, “It is a rather simple choice for me, I’ve always maintained that if I work, I will have fun, I will work with good people, and the script will always be my hero, always. Whether it is OTT platform or a film for me, a role is a role, both the format require same amount of work, perhaps doing 8 episode for OTT required more time, but it is the same”
“The work is the same, I am not different in any which manner, my work is not different in which manner, I don’t think it is not that difficult of a choice” added Kajol.
When asked what scars her more, Love, Law and Betrayal, as the title of the series is The Trail – Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha, and Kajol said, “I don’t think I am scared of anything, using scared might be the wrong word, but I do have a healthy wariness about all the three (Pyaar, Kannoon, Dhokhaa), I have a little stillness in all the three departments, none of the elements falls into impulsiveness, you cannot fall in love with closed eyes, you cannot play with law, or betray someone”
