Pooja Bhatt And Tanuja Chandra Celebrates 25 Years Of Dushman

Mumbai, 31st May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Actress Pooja Bhatt and filmmaker Tanuja Chandra celebrates 25 years of Dushman with a cold mocha and a cake.

Helmed by Tanuja Chandra making her directorial debut with Dushman, the film starred Kajol, Sanjay Dutt and Ashutosh Rana. The film was produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt.

Sharing a picture with Tanuja Chandra, actress Pooja Bhatt wrote, “Celebrating 25 yrs of #Dushman with the powerhouse @tanuja__chandra, I do hope with my entire being that life gives us the privilege of being back on set together. Not only with me producing your film but also someday with you directing me”

Filmmaker Tanuja Chandra wrote a lengthy note, it read, “I’ve always wondered why we as a culture don’t compliment each other more? Why we don’t seek people out to tell them when we’ve noticed a single thing, beautiful about them - whether a scene in their film, or the lilt in their voice when they hum a song, maybe the way their hair wavers in the breeze, or the way they laugh. Anything. At all.”

“Thank you, @poojab1972 for appreciating actors’ performances in my last work, and the passion with which I directed you in my Assistant days. That really is the essence of celebrating a Silver jubilee, isn’t it. It was lovely raising a glass of cold mocha with you today - the last picture here is of us on this very day, 25 years ago. A debutant Director and a young Producer not letting on how anxious they were on the day ‘Dushman’ released”

“Remembering with such fondness, the stalwarts I had the great fortune to work with: Mahesh Bhatt, Anand Bakshi, Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, Sachin Bhowmik, veteran editor Waman Bhonsle. Directing wonderful actors like Kajol, my dear friend, Tanvi Azmi, a brilliant Ashutosh Rana, along with the affectionate Sanjay Dutt and a very young, soulful Kunal Kemmu. Teaming up with many others in our vibrant crew, forming memories that ring till today. (Not least you, close friend and ex-assistant, Mrittika Mukherjee.) My abiding love for the Female genre began with my first film and has only grown more intense. The plan is to keep directing for a long while or at least till my bones grow weary and teeth give way… because the heart certainly won’t”

Pooja Bhatt and Tanuja Chandra have collaborated on many projects, as actor, director, and producer. The duo share a good camaraderie with one another.
