I Almost Said No To Aazam Says Jimmy Shergill

Mumbai, 9th May 2023 (Newshelpline) – Actor Jimmy Shergill shares an interesting story about bagging the action thriller Aazam, says he almost said no to the film as it required 40 days of night shoot.

Actor Jimmy Shergill was interacting with Newshelpline during a press-conference to promote his gangster drama Aazam, which chronicles the tale of power shift, set in just one night.

When asked about his bagging the role in Aazam, actor Jimmy said, “Night shoot messes-up your entire system, and Aazam is a story of one night, and I need to shoot straight for 40 nights, and without reading the script, I turned it down. One- or two-night shifts is okay, one could easily manage, but 40 nights, that is little too much.”

“I am in habit of reading scripts, I do read everything that comes my way, and one day, I picked a script and started reading it, by the second page, I was hooked and read the entire script. I loved it, I called my manager and asked him which movie is this, and he told me it is same one I rejected. And I told my manager to call the producer and ask if the movie is available, if they have cast the main lead, I’d love to be part of it in any way, a small role perhaps” added Jimmy.

Helmed by Sharvan Tiwari, also starring an incredible ensemble cast of Abhimanyu Singh, Indraneil Sengupta, Raza Murad, Govind Namdeo and Sayaji Rao Shinde and more.

“The film is packed with thrills and suspense, it is full voltage drama film, there is action in the film, but it is very realistic. No one is flying in the air; it is very realistic” said Jimmy talking about the genre of the film.

The film is slated for 19th May 2023 release.
