Film Fraternity Mourns The Demise Of Manobala

Mumbai, 3rd May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Noted south actor, comedian, producer and director Manobala passed away in Chennai today. He was 69. He was suffering from pancreatic issues and was being treated.

Manobala’s demise has prompted a flood of condolences on social media. Celebrities such as Vedhika, Kabir Duhan Singh, Manoj Manchu and PC Sreeram paid a tribute to the loved actor.

Actress Vedhika tweeted, “Heart-breaking news about @manobalam sir. Rest in peace sir. Om shanti . You will live on in the hearts of millions. May God give strength to his family”

Actor Kabir Duhan Singh shared, “Can’t believe it. Very shocking news. One of the most humble person I have ever met. Rest in peace sir”

Actor Manoj Manchu expressed, “Sad to hear the sudden passing away of the Multi-faceted actor #Manobala sir, May his soul rest in peace, Om Shanti, Strength to family members & friends. #RIPManobala”

Award winning cinematographer and director PC Sreeram took to his social media and wrote, “#RIPManobala Shocked hear this. His passion  for cinema  made him wear different hats, as director, as an actor, as a producer as you tuber during covid times. May his soul rest in peace”

Manobala entertained audiences with his unique voice and sense of humour. Beginning his career as an assistant to renowned filmmaker Bharathiraja, he acted in around 700 films, directed around 40 films and has produced a few films as well.

His memorable films include Sethu, Pithamagan, Oorkavalan, Kaatrin Mozhi and Chakra.
