Not So Cliché Nani In FireFlies – Parth Aur Jugnu Says Madhoo Shah

Mumbai, 26th April 2023 (Newshelpline) - Roja fame actress Madhoo Shah is venturing into web-space with ZEE5’s original fantasy drama series, ‘Fireflies – Parth aur Jugnu, says she is playing the role of Nani in the show and has worked hard to create her own version, so her character doesn’t come across as cliché.

Helmed by National award-winning filmmaker, Hemant Gaba and written by Alok Sharma, the series stars Meet Mukhi, Aekam Binjwe, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Luke Kenny, Akshat Singh, Zoya Afroz, Varun Kapoor, Harshit Bhojwani, Anaya Shivan, Riva Arora, Rahul Singh, and Hitesh Dave in key roles.

While interacting with Newshelpline, we asked Madhoo about her character and she said, “I had fun shooting the film, the character of Nani, which I am playing in the movie, is very special to me, because she is one who is giving the wise word to everyone, and I connected with the role a lot, that through me, we are trying to teach our value and tradition system”

“Plus, at this age, playing the role of Nani, creating her was challenging for me, but it was fun as well. I didn’t want to fall into that old Nani routine character, I didn’t want my character to be cliché, so I worked on creating it differently” added Madhoo.

‘Fireflies – Parth aur Jugnu’ centers around Parth, a down-and-out fourteen-year-old kid who meets Jugnu, a mystical kid from the haunted forest of Bheem Mukteshwar and together they embark on a journey full of action-packed adventure, self-discovery, and bedtime stories.
