Mumbai, 22nd April 2023 (Newshelpline) -  National Award winning filmmaker Nagraj Manjule, who is known for helming Marathi film 'Sairaat', announces his third Marathi film on the life of Independent India's first Olympic medallist Khasaba Dadasaheb Jadhav.

Nagraj Manjule took to his social media profile and shared the first look poster and teaser post, he captioned it, “It is a matter of great joy for me that I get to do a film on the life of the very talented wrestler Khashaba Jadhav, who has written the name of India and Maharashtra in the Olympic history. Khashaba will be my third Marathi film that I am directing after Fandry, Sairat. This is my first film with Jio Studio, Jyoti Deshpande. Nikhil Sane Sir has been with me since Fandry. Manjule boasts of 4 National Film Awards and has delivered films like 'Fandry', 'Pistulya' and 'Pavasacha Nibandha'. The film titled 'Khasaba' will be mounted on a large scale.

Khasaba, who was born in Goleshwar village in Karad taluka of District Satara in Maharashtra, was the youngest of five sons of renowned wrestler Dadasaheb Jadhav. He clinched the bronze medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and was the first athlete from Independent India to win an individual medal in the Olympics.
