Maddock Films Acquire Rights Of Harinder Sikka’s Vichhoda

Mumbai, 27th January 2023 (NewsHelpline) - Dinesh Vijan’s home banner Maddock Films has announced its partnership with celebrated author Harinder Sikka. The company has acquired the rights to adapt Sikka's bestselling novel Vichhoda: In the Shadow of Longing.

The official handle of Maddock Films confirmed the association on social media, it said, “Maddock Films proudly comes together with Harinder Sikka, author of "Calling Sehmat", adapted into the blockbuster film "Raazi", to acquire Vichhoda- in the shadow of longing.." #DineshVijan @harinder_sikka”

This bestseller novel, which was first published in 2019, tells an untold story of strength, resilience, and sacrifice.

Harinder’s first novel, Calling Sehmat, was also adapted into a feature film Raazi, which was a blockbuster. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

Maddock Films last venture was Bhediya, this year, the banner has an interesting line-up of release, such as Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, Laxman Utekar’s untitled drama with Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, Tehran starring John Abraham, Sector 36 with Deepak Dobriyal and Vikrant Massey, along with multi-starrer A Pink City.
