Glad Farzi Isn’t Made Into A Movie Says Shahid Kapoor
Mumbai, 14th January 2023 (NewsHelpline) – Actor Shahid Kapoor, who is making his digital debut with crime thriller series Farzi, shares an interesting story where Raj and DK wanted to make a film but ended up making a web-show.
Shahid Kapoor was interacting with NewsHelpline during the trailer launch of Farzi in Mumbai.
Talking about working director duo and ensemble, Shahid Kapoor said, “We started talking about this show even before everyone was talking about OTT as option, and when I say everyone, I mean film fraternity. Raj and DK called me for a film, and I’d asked them if they wanted to do a show. First, they thought I was joking but I told them that I loved watching what they do, and I would like to collaborate for a show”
“Raj and DK had an idea for a movie, it is the same movie which has been made into the show. Because as a film Farzi was long, duration wise, so I am glad it didn’t become a movie and became a show. This is first season, which is equivalent to two and a half movies, and if audience love it, we can make 2-3 more such shows” added Shahid.
The series is helmed by Raj and DK, co-written by Sita R Menon and Suman Kumar, the series also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Amol Palekar, Regina Cassandra, Kubbra Sait, Kay Kay Menon and Rashii Khanna.
