Story Appeals To Audience, Not The Platform Says Kartik Aaryan
Actor Kartik Aaryan says that audience is interested in good stories; platform doesn’t make difference as they have palate for both – platform and theaters.
Actor Kartik Aaryan along with filmmaker Ram Madhvani, actress Mrunal Thakur, producer Ronnie Screwvala and more graced the trailer launch of Netflix’s Dhamaka.
When asked about, Dhamaka being the first film of Kartik hitting the OTT platform release, he said, “The palate of audience is on the sides, digital and theatre, there is nothing like you’ll make a different film for box-office or theatre, and you’d make a different film for streaming platforms. Audience today is more interested in the story, if they like the story, they will watch the film. See if you like the trailer, you’d go to theater and even watch on digital platform or television. The most important thing for us, that audience should watch it, whether in theaters or Netflix”
Further adding, Kartik said that he doesn’t decide film based on the idea of theatrical or digital release. He said, “I am really about my film and I don’t think I work that way, making a cocktail of films one for OTT and one of theatre, I am in a project to act, just act, where it will release that is not my decision, it comes collectively from makers, producers and other people”
Dhamaka is helmed by Ram Madhvani who also produced the film with Amrita Madhvani, under the banner Ram Madhvani Films, along with Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, Lotte Cultureworks, Global Gate Entertainment and Lionsgate Films.
