Dhaakad And Fortunate To Play Exciting Character Says Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut says she is grateful for the fact that she gets to play exciting characters in her films and her forthcoming thriller Dhaakad is a theatrical experience.

Interacting with Newshelpline during a promotional event in Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut got candid about her forthcoming movie and prior releases.

When asked about her varied repertoire, Kangana said, “I am just very fortunate to get such exciting characters to play. After Thailavii, which was a political drama, this one is a spy-thriller, and thanks to my director and producer to letting me part of something so special. You see, nothing like this has ever made before in Bollywood, we are entering a new age and trying to do something revolutionary”

Mounted on a huge scale, the film has been directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai. It is a high octane spy thriller that also stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta along with a slew of compelling actors.

Further adding, Kangana said that Dhaakad is a theatrical experience and she hopes that by next years, theatres will have 100 percent occupancy.

She said, “This film is a theatrical experience and for us to be back into the theatres, I wish by April, we should have 100 percent occupancy and everyone gets to enjoy the film”

When asked about her Dhaakad moment in life, Kangana quipped, “I think everything I do is Dhaakad, from running away from my house till now, and I am doing all the Dhaakad stuff. Now I am doing this Dhaakad film, I hope audience love it”

Ranaut plays the role of Agent Agni in the film that will see her take on the layered subject of child trafficking and exploitation of women. The film's stunts have been designed by an international team whereas Tetsuo Nagata, an award-winning Japanese cinematographer who has worked in many Hollywood action flicks has done the camerawork.

'Dhaakad' will be presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt Ltd in association with Kamal Mukut, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum films. The film is slated to hit the cinema halls on 8th April, 2022.
