Aryan Khan bail plea rejected, Mumbai court says not maintainable
Their lawyers will now have to move a special court designated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They are likely to move the special court on Monday as the special court does not work on Saturday.
On Thursday, Aryan along with seven other accused were remanded in 14-day judicial custody by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerilkar. NCB had demanded further custody for him but the court rejected their plea.
Aryan has been sent to Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail.
The NCB claimed to have seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA, 5 grams of MD and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash during the raid. Aryan Khan's lawyer has claimed no drugs were recovered from his client's possession.
Till now NCB has arrested a total of 18 people since the raid on the ship last week.
