Veteran actor Kamal Haasan pays a tribute to Legendary Tamil star Sivaji Ganesan on his 93rd Birth Anniversary.

Sivaji Ganesan is considered one of the finest Indian actors of all time. He had worked in over 250 films in a career spanning over four decades. He passed away in 2001, due to long-standing heart problems and respiratory troubles.

Kamal Haasan took to his social media profile and shared a throwback picture of himself with the late actor and wrote a message to honour his memory. The tweet roughly translates as, “He who saw the pinnacle of the performing arts. The golden age of cinema. Who is timeless in the hearts of the people. Shivaji Ganesan, the artist of eternity. My prayers on his birthday"

Meanwhile on the work front, Kamal Hassan is currently busy with action thriller Vikram, which is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International.

The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles along with Shivani Narayanan, Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, Antony Varghese and Arjun Das in supporting roles.

The film is not a sequel to the 1986 film of the same name, though the film's official title teaser (released 7 November 2020) used a remixed version of the theme song from the 1986 film.
