Akshay Kumar Lauds Uddhav Thackeray’s Decision To Reopen Theatres, Announces Sooryavanshi Release
Rohit Shetty helmed Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles has been delayed for almost 2 years now. The film is now slated for Diwali release, as Chief Minister of Maharasthra has decided to reopen theatres and auditorium in October.
Superstar Akshay Kumar just took to his social media profile and lauded the decision of CM Uddhav Thackeray to reopen theatres in October, and announces the new release date of multi-starrer Sooryavanshi.
He tweeted, “So many families would be thanking Sh Uddhav Thackeray today! Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. The film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, based on a script by Yunus Sajawal, Farhad Samji, Sanchit Bendre and Vidhi Ghodgadnkar and an original story by Shetty.
The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Javed Jaffrey.
