Kangana Ranaut visits Thalaivii's memorial in Chennai ahead of her film release
The actress shared the news with her fans and wrote,"All set to visit Puratchi Thalaivii Amma Dr J Jayalalithaa Memorial #Thalaivii." Decked in a beautiful orange and red saree, Kangana looks mesmerising in this look.
''Thalaivii' is a biographical film covering the life of Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu . The film is directed by A.L.Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R. Singh. The film also features Arvind Swami and Prakash Raj in prominent roles.
The film whose release was getting postponed again and again owing to covid is finally releasing in the cinemas on 10 September. However, India's top two multiplex chains PVR Cinemas and INOX Leisure Ltd are refusing to screen the Hindi version of Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivii. According to them, the window to its Netflix premiere is too narrow. They are demanding a four week gap between its debut in theatres and on digital platform.
The actress requested multiplex chains to allow the screening of her film. In a note, she mentioned that theatres are “ganging up” against her film.
Meanwhile, post Thalaivii, the actress will be seen in 'Dhaakad', 'Tejas' and 'Emergency'.
