'Film Ardh is like a rebirth for me' Rajpal Yadav

How did this film happen to him, talking about the same Rajpal Yadav said,"Someone told me about Palaash and his musical background. I thought let's meet him. When he came to meet me, I thought he wanted to be casted as a lead actor. But when he was narrating the story, I was waiting for his role to come. Later I came to know, he is the director of the film. "

He further said,"Palaash is coming up with such a sensitive film and to direct that one needs to be sensitive and mature. I think he is such a sensitive person at such a young age. It is a different concept film and I am very happy to be a part of this film."

How has his working experience been working with  a debut director till now, talking about this he said,"It does not feel at all that he is directing a film for the first time. He is super talented and whatever qualities a director needs, he has all of them in him. I am very proud of him."

Audience has always seen him as a comedy actor, what role does he have in this film, talking about the same, he said,"It was in the year 2000 Film Jungle released. Since then it has been almost 21 years, I was never offered a three dimensional role. Everybody used to offer me comedy roles and I was happily doing them too. But it was a dream for me to perform a tailor made role like this. Film Ardh is like a rebirth for me."

Film Ardh is based on a common man who wants to become an actor in Mumbai. The film stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajpal Yadav, Rubina Dilaik and Hiten Tejwani. It is written and directed by Palaash Muchhal.
