Director Ram Gopal Varma’s cousin P Som Shekar, who was a part of the production of Rangeela, Daud, Satya, Jungle, and Company passed away in Hyderabad due to COVID-19.

Filmmaker RGV took to his social media profile and shared the sad news. He tweeted, “Lost my cousin Shekar to Covid ..He was a major part of my life and this is to inform all the people who knew him and were associated with him...A really terrible loss RIP Shekar!”

Shekar had also directed the film Muskurake Dekh Zara which was written by Anurag Kashyap. There isn’t much information about P Som Shekar, as he was a very private man.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ram Gopal Varma made headlines with his latest gangster drama, D Company, which released digitally on Spark OTT.
