​I Am Discovering Myself As An Actor Now Says Kunal Kapoor

We saw him first in the year 2004 film 'Meenaxi: A tale of three cities' and since then he has been a heartthrob. We are talking about Kunal Kapoor who is soon going to be seen in the film Koi Jaane Na which is all set to release on 2 April. Directed by Amin Hajee and starring Amyra Dastur alongside him, the film is a thriller. The actor spoke to News Helpline about the film, his character and much more.

Film Koi Jaane Na got a good response from Aamir Khan who watched the film in a special screening. Did this motivate them, sharing his response to this he said, "I know Aamir for many years. I know if he doesn't like a film he will say it on your face. Same goes for Ashutosh Gowarikar. Both of them saw the film and loved it. So I am happy with their response."

Talking about the first reaction when he was narrated the film, he said, "Amin is a very good friend of mine. When he told me he wanted to narrate a story to me, I was very tense. I was thinking of ideas on how to say no to him if I don't like the story. But when he narrated it to me, it did not take me a minute to say yes for the film. The story is amazing and so gripping."

What was the most challenging part of the role, sharing on that he said, "A thriller film is always like a cat and mouse chase between the filmmaker and the audience. The audience keeps guessing the suspense. So you have to always maintain that fine line in your acting which is very challenging. "

Talking about his journey as an actor, he said, "I am discovering myself as an actor now. When I started my career there were not so many options to explore. Nowadays, we are getting good content. OTT Platform is offering so many exciting things. As a creative person, it is a very good time to explore."
