‘Maaya 4’ will release this year during monsoon period confirms Krishna Bhatt
‘Maaya 4’ is a part of Vikram Bhatt’s most popular franchise. It is an intense love story of a couple in which male protagonist wants to achieve his dreams but pays a hefty cost - his marriage. The show features in Rohit Bose Roy and Aindrita Ray in lead roles.
Talking about the release of the show, Krishna said, “It will take us two to three to complete shooting and post-production of the show. I think during monsoon, we will be able to release it.”
Talking about ‘Maaya 4’, Krishna said, “First season of ‘Maaya’ was directed by my father (Vikram Bhatt) and I directed the second and third seasons of the show. Like the first three seasons, this one also is a bold love story. It’s a story of a couple that goes through different emotions like ambition and heartbreak to make their marriage work. I feel directing the fourth season of the show is very different from directing the second and third seasons because there is a very different kind of emotional depth in the fourth season.”
She added, “It’s not a regular love story where a couple meets and then their families oppose their relationship and they got over it. It’s a very intense love story of a married couple from Indore (Madhya Pradesh) that comes to Mumbai. It’s about how a man’s ambitions create problems in his married life and the woman who is orthodox in her head and how she deals with her own sexuality and how together their marriage is made to work. I feel there is a very thin line between a disgusting and a classy narrative, so I have tried to maintain that line during the making of this show.”
When asked Krishna whether she is feeling pressure during the making of the fourth season of the show, She said, “Obviously, there is a pressure to make a good show because the first three seasons of this show did really well. We are trying our best to make a bigger and better show than the previous seasons of the show. I feel I am working with really good actors to make things better for me. Initially, I was really nervous when my father (Vikram Bhatt) told me that Rohit (Roy) sir will play the lead character in this show because he is a well known and experienced actor. I thought that would he listen to me? Because I am a 26 year old girl and he has been in this industry more than my age and even Aindrita (Ray) has been so supportive who is a well known actor in the South Indian film industry. So, there are times, I know that I just have to put on the camera and they will do their job smoothly.”
