Expecting same amount of love and appreciation from the audience for my original compositions like meme songs says Yashraj Mukhate
Yashraj is an Indian engineer turned music producer, composer and social media personality born in Aurangabad. He is best known for his viral parody video ‘Raosde Mein Kaun Tha’ where he set rap beats to a scene featured in the television soap opera ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ in August 2020.
He has also created other music videos set to viral dialogues, and each of them has racked up millions of views on social media. His most recent composition using the viral 'Pawri ho rahi hai' video by Pakistani influencer Dananeer Mobeen helped amplify the 'pawri' craze in India and crossed 59 million views on social media.
During his earlier interviews, Yashraj has stated that he has been a huge admirer of music composers A.R. Rahman and Amit Trivedi. He even added that critically acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap met him and offered him work after he came across ‘Rasode Mein Kaun Tha’ song on social media.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Yashraj said, “I am concentrating on creating original compositions. I haven’t worked much on that aspect but now I am working on it. I am expecting the same amount of love and appreciation from the audience for my original compositions the way they have given immensely positive feedback to my meme songs.”
Sharing his feelings after receiving a special award at the award ceremony, Yashraj said, “I am here to receive an award and it always feels nice when you get an award for your work. I don’t belong to Mumbai. I stay in Aurangabad and if I am getting any kind recognition for my work by working over there, so obviously it feels special as an artist.”
