Payal Ghosh made headlines last year in September when she came out in public and accused Director Anurag Kashyap for sexual harassment. Post which, she joined Ramdas Athawale's Political party and today she is the Vice President of its women wing. The actress was recently spotted at the five year completion bash of Shimmer Entertainment, a one stop firm for celebrity and film PR. She spoke to News Helpline about her current project, 'Me Too' Movement and much more.

Talking about the importance of a PR firm in a celebrity's life, she said, "PR firm is very important in every celebrity's life and even for film promotion. I have been associated with Shimmer Entertainment for two years now and they are really doing their job well.'

Payal had accused Anurag Kashyap for sexual assault, an incident that she says took five years ago. Talking about the same, she said, "In our industry, the directors think girls are vulnerable and they will do whatever to get a role. I think the mindset of the directors need to change with regards to female actresses."

Talking about the recent Gehana Vasisth incident,she said, "I am completely against pornography. I think shows that are being made as soft porns should also be banned."

On the work front, Payal is working in Rajeev Chaudhari's project 'Red' which also stars Krushna Abhishek. The team is planning to finish the shoot by the end of March. She will be portraying the role of great Madhubala in it.
