After OMG and 102 Not Out, filmmaker Umesh Shukla announces his next outing, a Hindi adaptation of Tamil Film “Oh My Kadavule”.

Umesh Shukla, Endemol Shine India and Mumbai Talkeez have acquired the rights to Tamil film “Oh My Kadavule” and it will be adapt into Hindi.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the confirmation on the film. He tweeted, “#TAMIL FILM TO BE REMADE IN #HINDI... #Tamil film #OhMyKadavule will be adapted in #Hindi... Ashwath Marimuthu - who directed the #Tamil film - will direct #Hindi version... The #Hindi film will be written and creatively produced by Umesh Shukla [directed #OMG and #102NotOut]”

“The #Hindi remake of #Tamil film #OhMyKadavule will be produced by Endemol Shine India, Umesh Shukla and Ashish Wagh [Merry Go Round Studios] and Parag Desai [Mumbai Talkeez]... The #Hindi title and star cast are under finalisation” read the full tweet.

The original film featured Ashok Selvan of “Pizza II: Villa” fame and “Saala Khadoos” actor Ritika Singh, with Vijay Sethupathi in an extended cameo.

“Oh My Kadavule” revolves around two childhood friends, Anu (Singh) and Arjun (Selvan), who decide to get married. But as one thinks marrying your best friend means a ‘happily ever-after’ but it turns out to be just the reverse as their marital life becomes complicated due to misunderstandings and miscommunication which leads to a divorce.

Ashwath Marimuthu, who helmed the Tamil film, will also direct the Hindi version, making his Hindi film debut as a director. The makers are in the process of deciding the cast and the title of the Hindi film
