Political drama set in the period of the emergency in India, Indu Sarkar, will be showcasing at 6th Indian Film Festival in Hungry and Bosnia by the Embassy of India, confirms Madhur Bhandarkar.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar just took to his social media profile and expressed his joy that his directorial film will showcased at IFF in Hungary and Bosnia. He shared, “Very Happy that our Critically Acclaimed film “INDU SARKAR “ is showcasing at '6th Indian Film Festival' in Hungary and Bosnia by Embassy of India. The official handle of Indian Embassy in Hungary confirmed the news. Written, directed and bankrolled by Madhur Bhandarkar, the period political thriller film starred Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Nitanshi Goel and Supriya Vinod.

The film is set in the period of the emergency in India, i.e. the 19-month-long period from 1975 to 1977 when there was a state of emergency across the country. The story screenplay of the movie is written by Anil Pandey and the dialogues are penned by Sanjay Chhel.

The film is produced under the banner of Bhandarkar Entertainment and Mega Bollywood Private Limited. The music is composed by Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri. The film was released on 28 July 2017 with few cuts.
