Neha Sharma, (born 17 September 1990), known by her stage name Nia Sharma, is an Hindi actress who acts in Indian television industry. She debuted in television with a supporting role on Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha in 2010. This was followed by another supporting role in the multi starrer Behenein in 2011.Sharma's career took a turning point later that year, when she bagged the parallel lead role of Manvi Chaudhary in Star Plus's Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (2011–13). She established herself as a leading and successful actress with her portrayal of Roshni Patel in Zee TV's Jamai Raja (2014–16), Aarohi Kashyap in Colors TV's thriller Ishq Mein Marjawan (2018–19) and Naagin Brinda in Colors TV's supernatural revenge series Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel (2019–20). Additionally she was a contestant on the reality stunt based show Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 in 2017 and entered digital world the same year with Vikram Bhatt's web series Twisted. She was most recently seen in the second season of her web series Jamai 2.0, which released digitally on ZEE5 in March 2021.
Sharma, who was born as Neha Sharma, is the youngest child of her family and did a degree in mass communication from Jagannath Institute of management sciences, Rohini, New Delhi.
Sharma had her television debut in 2010 as Anu in Kaali – Ek Agnipariksha followed by playing Nisha Mehta in Behenein. Her breakthrough came through the role of Manvi alongside Krystle D'Souza, Karan Tacker and Kushal Tandon in Star Plus series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai in 2011. It ended in 2013.
She continued her television acting journey by playing Roshni Patel in Zee TV's Jamai Raja, produced by actor Akshay Kumar, where she was paired opposite Ravi Dubey from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, Sharma starred as Alia Mukherjee in Vikram Bhatt's web series Twisted. Next, she was a contestant on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8, which was hosted by Rohit Shetty. It ended in September 2017, with Sharma finishing as a finalist.In 2018, she was seen in Twisted 2. Then, she played Aarohi Kashyap and Anjali Sharma in Colors TV's Ishq Mein Marjawan alongside Arjun Bijlani and Aalisha Panwar from 2018 to 2019.In December 2019, Sharma played a shape-shifting serpent named Brinda Parekh in Naagin 4 on Colors TV, opposite Vijayendra Kumeria. In August 2020, Sharma participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Made in India and emerged as the winner.
In 2019 , she made her debut in Zee5's web series Jamai 2.0 and in 2021, its season 2 is about to relese on 26 th of February .
Debut and first break (2010–13)
Sharma commenced her acting journey into television in 2010 with Star Plus's Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha, that featured her as Anu. She then played Nisha Mehta in the channel's multi starrer Behenein.She had her first break in television when she signed the parallel main role of Manvi Chaudhary alongside Krystle D'Souza, Karan Tacker and Kushal Tandon in Star Plus's Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai which ran successfully for 2 years, from 2011 to 2013.
Establishment as a leading actress (2013–present)
Sharma's first leading role was as Roshni Patel opposite Ravi Dubey in Zee TV's Jamai Raja produced by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, which she did from 2014 to 2016. In 2017, she entered digital world with Vikram Bhatt's web series Twisted, an erotic thriller also featuring Rrahul Sudhir and Namit Khanna.In July 2017, she joined as a participating contestant in the eighth season of Colors TV's popular stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi hosted by Rohit Shetty. She was eliminated from the show three times, before entering again. During its grand finale in September 2017, she finished as a finalist.Sharma next reprised her character in the second and third season of Twisted In July 2018 she was roped in to essay the role of Aarohi Kashyap and Anjali Sharma opposite Arjun Bijlani in Colors TV's suspense thriller Ishq Mein Marjawan, which ended eleven months later, in June 2019, followed by her appearance as Roshni opposite Dubey in the web series Jamai 2.0.At the end of 2019, she was confirmed to be the part of lead cast in Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, the fourth season of Colors TV's supernatural revenge franchise Naagin produced by Ekta Kapoor, in which she portrayed a shape shifting serpent Brinda Goradia opposite Vijayendra Kumeria until the show went off air in August 2020. Sharma's acting performances in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Jamai Raja, Ishq Mein Marjawan and Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel established her as a leading actress of Indian television industry.Right after the end of Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, she took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India and emerged as the winner. Sharma will next reunite with Dubey for the second season of Jamai 2.0, that will stream digitally on ZEE5.
